1st Gebrigsjager Div patch history

Can anyone shed some light on the variants and types of sleeve emblem worn by the Bundeswehrs 1st Gebrigsjager Div? I know there was a first early type worn on the right sleeve, and I have a mid 60s officers jacket that has pretty much the type worn today on the left. When did the current type come about? I have heard about 1962 when the rest of the unit emblems came about

Hi,

there are some different patches.

The first, on the rigt arm, was wearable for all members of the "Gebirgstruppe". > one white (silver) border

The second, on the left arm, was for members of the "1. Gebirgsdivision".
- 1. (8.) Gebirgsdivision, division staff and divisional troops, one white/silver border, later one inner white border and an outer silver border,
- Gebirgsjägerbrigade 22, one inner white and an outer white border,
- Gebirgsjägerbrigade 23, one inner white and an outer red border,
- Panzerbrigade 24, one inner white and an outer yellow border.
