Foreign Awards worn on Bundeswehr Uniforms

Yes it should be on the left breast pocket on the moleskin jacket. Perhaps the size of two cloth badges was too much for that side and the soldier decided to put it on the right. Always interesting to see what can be done in practice rather than to regulations. Its what keeps our interest!

Going through our archives I came across this picture today. The picture shows some Senior NCO/Hauptfeldwebel receiving Marksmanship awards from members of the 8th Infantry Division in Baumholder or Idar-Oberstein.



The Hauptfeldwebel are wearing a DUI as pocket badge additionaly.



I'm pretty sure it's the DUI of the US Army Theater Support Command, former European Communication Zone. This would make sense since the nearby located Army Depot Nahbollenbach was part of this command. The picture was taken 1975.

Very interesting pictures. First time that I have seen a BW soldier wearing two (3?) marksmanship awards.

What are the two badges this soldier is wearing on the pocket proper? Oops Just looked at the attachment "Life Line for Freedom". What can you tell me about this badge?
