Not my focus of collecting but I'm sure the WAF's community knows exactly what I do have here:
Found these Airborne wings in a bunch of Bw insignia I acquired last week. They look similar to the two "Small Parachute" variations depicted in Kunstwadl's book on page 154, except those are cloth variants and mine has curved ends.
I havn't seen such a variation before. All Bw wings I have seen yet had straight ends.
All other insignia of this lot are Luftwaffe so my guess is, these wings are Lw as well. Can anybody confirm this? If so, when were these kind of wings worn? The wings measure 8 cm; they have no manufacturer's logo.
