Bought this, 1st pattern, (of three), trial knife of the Bundeswehr.
The 1st pattern trial knife, (manufactured by Eickhorn), was tested in the Bundeswehr in 1964 and was eliminated in 1965 due to the defective quality of the blade material.
Eickhorn, (as far as I know), never, ever, was involved in the production of this pattern combat knife henceforth ...
Such 1st pattern Bundeswehr trial knives are pretty scarce and I hope, I´ll get the knife soon !
