    German Post 1956 Rank Flags

    Does anyone know if the Germans stamped their flags in English after 1956? I had read that the "official" language of NATO was English and French. I am asking because I have a German Vize-Admiral flag that is stamped Vice-Adm. You can see the thread in the flags forum under "My newest flag for review".
