Hello @ all,

till wich date was the rankstripes worn on the sleeve of the "Dienstanzugsjacken" Heer and Luftwaffe?
Iam very confused ; Today I look in a 09/1972 dated Heeres tunic (wich looks like the current issued one) and see machine stiches on the upper sleeves from Obergefreiter UA stripes.

I was told that with the ending of wearing french cuffs they issued the metalpins for the shoulderstraps.

I would not expect to see rank insignia sewn on the sleeve of a "Dienstanzugsjacken" Heer and Luftwaffe after 1963.

Hi,

for EM it changed in the 70s. You can find the new regulations in the ZDV 37/10 from November 1972.
With 09/72 there could be a short overlapping.

In 1963 it changed only for UoP (Unteroffizier/Stabsunteroffizier).
