Gentlemen,

This knife appeared recently, auction ended yesterday with a sale price or US$147.00, on ebay.com as a Luftwaffe pilots knife. Combination pilots survival knife and a canopy breaker knife. I have never come across one of these before and I would like some more information on them. Were they actually used in the BW? If so from when to when etc. Any and all info is welcome.

Your A.S.E.K. II, (Aircrew Survival Egress Knife), was originally developed for military use in the NATO.
If this pattern knife also was in use in the BW, I don´t know.

Is the belt-cutter with integrated screwdriver also Eickhorn marked ?

I´ve seen such pattern knives, showing an serrated edge near the hilt.

Thanks for the info. I didn't want to bid on this auction until I had more information on these knives. There do not appear to be any markings on the belt-cutter with integrated screwdriver.

IMO such knives ´re sold as commercial´s.

But, maybe, (private purchased), such pattern knives saw "military" action somewhere, who know´s ?
