    BW name tapes.

Gents, just landed a mini collection in its own right, forty BW namenschilds/name tapes, these little blighters are hard to find at the best of times and are always missing on nearly all items of olive/cammo clothing offered for sale..........For 10 euros I could not resist hitting the buy it now button !
These finish off a jacket a treat.. I also show a current tape for use on the Wustentarn/Tropentarn tunic in Afghanistan ISAF contingent, that I have in my collection.
However perhaps ex Bw soldiers can comment, why the dual flag motifs on some ?
    Prost !Steve.

Really nice! Such a wide variety too. I've seen the ISAF tapes go for Eur 10 each on eBay.

            Hi,
I think all tapes shown with flags/dual flags are not regular ones except the
            ISAF one.

Tapes can be ordered in any kind in shops like
            http://www.bw-online-shop.com/ausrue...Fa-WtAodbHoAWQ

Regulation ZDv37/10 does not allow such tapes.

Regulations are one thing and real military life is another ...

                Hi RamJet,
You are not seriously say that in formal duty a soldier is wearing his name tag with the flag of Baden-Wuertemberg?
                Regards

                  And why not?

Look at the name tags of Luftwaffe flight crews (mine ist not totally according to the regulations also ) or at the blue name plates on the dress uniform which often sport a little jet silhouette beside the name ...

Yes, of course I would say it seriously.

Actually not a name tape but worn instead of those... I was lucky to receive one MAZ & MORE tape recently. These were worn by members of the MAZ & MORE KFOR "Field Paper" (term?) staff until 2011 instead of the name tags. Mine was worn by a Hauptgefreiter, who served in Prizren in 2010. He told me that these were highly sought after by collectors already when he was over there.

Interesting tag. Did the original owner tell you why they wore the Maz & More tag instead of their names?

                      Regards,

                      Gordon
