As per Gordons request (just got back from a two week vacation), I post this bar here from the 1957 section.... it is more I think BRD civilian than Bundeswehr orientated, but some of you may not be aware of these medals that are frequently seen on 1957 ribbon bars, and therefore a veteran link can be seen with these medals.
This is a four piece medal bar, with "Einsatzmedaille Fluthilfe 2002" (Flood medal) and three marching/hiking medals, the "Viertagekruez von Nijmegen", the "Silberne medaille des IML Haervejasmarsches von Viborg/Danemark" (Danish marching medal) and a "Medaille des IML Saga-Marsches Norge" (Norwegian).
Although primarily a national event in each host country, many foreign nationals and NATO Armed forces teams enter and successfully complete these events.....
The Dutch medal, the Nijmegen 4 day march medal in particular is a recognised event and is authorised for wear in the Bundeswehr.
Notice the mounting method, colour of backing cloth and fastner assembly, similar to most 1957 full medal bars construction.
