I have been digging through some old boxes trying to bring some order to my life when I ran across these post cards. I remember picking them up in Mittenwald by the train station after finishing the mountain artillery school. Great course and the Feldwebeln were great instructors even though they had some great fun at my expense! They fed green apples to the mules the night before we went up to fire When you have to hold onto the tail of the mule in front of you to keep your balance, it gave a whole new meaning to the value of a shower when we came down
They should have made figurines out of these pictures, as good if not better than the Hummels!!
