Help with buttons for a 1961 LW tunic

I have had this tunic for years and recently re-found it. It was forgotten about because of the missing buttons, but now I have found some replacements and would like some advice on the proper type to use.

The jacket is dated 2/61 and has plain pointed shoulder straps and French cuffs with sewn cuff titles with wings.

The photo shows the 2 groups of buttons I have available to use. They both have a light gold tone. Grp1 is marked Extra Fein 21M/M with the "A" makers mark. Grp2 is made by <OLC> size 21M. The silver button in the middle attached the mid 60's dated tunic is just for color comparison. The gold buttons in the upper right corner are the only 17mm non-silver buttons I could find. Would these be ok for this project?

Please tell me which buttons to use. Thanks!

    sammlermws,

Interesting question. Tunics of this age would originally have had the dark "bronze" coloured buttons. Difficult to tell that actual colours from your plictures and I am a long way from my uniforms so can not compare the pictures to actual uniforms.
Buttons in the BW can be a somewhat complex issue. Your group one buttons have flat edges which I normally associate with officers tunics. The group two buttons I would associate with an enlisted man's uniform. Perhaps one of the other members pf the forum can make a good suggestion as to whether either of these groups of buttons would be acceptable.

    Regards,

    Gordon
