Are these BGS trousers?

Found these at a surplus store and grabbed them because I thought they may be BGS. I haven't seen this type before. Please inform me... What uniform used with, age, etc.
They are wool with cotton lining, cargo pockets secured with 3 buttons, top front closure buttons are blacked metal riveted on with leaves.

Yup, BGS winter issue field trousers. I've seen quite a few of these on eBay lately so I think a bunch must have been dumped onto the market recently.

It is hard to tell from the pictures, but does this have a blue-gray look to it or is it green? If it is blue-gray then as far as I know these were worn mid 1960s through early 1970s. I haven't seen one with metal rivet buttons on it before so those might have been a "field modification".

If they are a definite green color then they were made after 1975. I haven't come upon any made post 1975, but the early transition period did have a bunch of oddities.
