A hat I'm having trouble identifying, looks like RAD style but I'm thinking post war.

Hi All,

Any information on this hat I bought yesterday would be greatly received.

It was bought from an antique shop/house in Potsdam that was being cleared as unfortunaty the elderly owner has past away.

It was a go anywhere do what you want dig, nowhere was out of bounds, so I dug and dug :-)

Anyway the hat, its been pointed out to me its RAD style but probably post war. What I'm struggling with is weather it is DDR or BRD as it only has an ink stamp inside, what age it is and to what branch of service.

Any info is much appreciated,

It is a Zoll cap.
West German customs.

I have a similar one with fake fur ear flaps for winter use. I have always assumed it is for female Zoll officers, but I have not seen that confirmed.
