These suspenders seem to belong original to the trousers and have a nice closing system through a venthole style grommet .

        Kees,

Interesting suspender attachment system. First one I've sen that will probably work well.

        Regards,

Nice! I haven't seen trousers like this, but my guess is 2000s Polizei Einsatzhosen for a particular state, not a general design for all states.

The suspenders are very interesting. I've also never seen anything quite like that. The downside is that it only works for trousers specifically designed for it.

Thank you for the replies and the fact that these suspenders are new to you both tells me I have a rare pair of trousers.
            All the best,

The late 1990s and early 2000s saw a large number of Einsatzanzug designs in use. I've stopped trying to collect "one of every type" because it feels like every time I go onto eBay I think I see another on

The basic part of the clip itself is very common commercial design. At least here in the US. I'd say it is a standard design for trouser suspenders going back for most of the last 50+ years. The feature that makes it unique is the prong that fits through the metal grommet hole. This ensures the clip won't slip off (a common problem with a normal clip), but it also means you can not use them on any other trousers.
