      had a 50/50 chance on guessing which side of the wall, and I guessed wrong

      thanks. nice quality for something that didn't come around until 1980

            That one is in rough shape! I wonder what it was used for? The pin has been purposefully removed and it looks like it's seen a lot of contact with Mother Nature.

                        Hi,

                        nothing like your assumptions.

                        I think, that the needle system oxidized away in the ground contact.

                        Only a few makers had in the first time this riveted needle system, e.g. Klein & Quenzer and Haupt. Haupt had better rivets.
