Here is thread to post West German gasmasks and carriers from your collection as reference. A little has been posted from various members in other thread already, but good to have everything in one place.
Here are the ABC articles from my BGS collection. After long searching, I have had luck in last several months on ebay.de and found 2 cans and 1 GM54 mask. The can on left is untouched in early grey-green colour. The belt hook strap has leather reinforcement (not on Bw version). When order to change to dark green (ca. early 60s?), they were repainted like on r. Straps on dark green can missing, so I replace with probably Bw ones. Both cans should probably have canvas cover, as I think BGS also received them. Unfortunately hard to find by itself. Gasmask is like earlier WH models from canvas with rubberised sealing on seam and rubber interior. I have never seen this on another postwar mask. Straps are grey-green instead of olive.
Here can one see, how the dark green can was once same colour as grey-green one, when opened. The stamps are hard to read, because ink bleed too much, but eagle and some initials visible.
Early can has ID number on bottom 491. Under paint, still visible is previous users number 468.
On dark green can which is repainted very messy, can see unit markings 1./GSAB M (so 1. Bauhundertschaft/ Grenzschutzbauabteilung Mitte). Interesting to note difference of markings on each can.
