    Early GJ "Skijacke"

Recently received and apparently with original badging. No sign of anything else ever having been on this jacket. Which is great, because so many early jackets had their original badges removed.

Overall excellent condition. Unfortunately there is no readable date on the label. I also need to find a ribbon bar with 4 ribbons that is suitable for this jacket.

Great uniform. Can you post a picture of the patch? Thanks

      Hi Lars,

Sure, here it is. As always, I was surprised to see how consistent Bundeswehr arm badge style/quality has been through the years.

My guess is the jacket is from 1961 or 1962, not earlier.

As you can see the overall condition is excellent, just like the rest of the jacket. But just like the rest of the jacket, if you look closer you can see that it is not perfect. Notice the light stain on the lower part of the EdelweiƟ. I did not even notice this until the flash picture showed it so clearly. The harsh light highlights blemishes otherwise not seen. Now I know why TV news people wear so much makeup

Steve..simply stunning ! it can grace my collection anytime ! it is rare to find these early jackets with there original insignia still applied (believe me, I have looked!) , it should be worth a premium.......if you ever move it on.
        Prost ! Steve.
