Dating question on generals visor

Two beautiful examples, Gordon! I hope you bought these prior to about 2010. Because since then the cost of these hats has gone up into the stratosphere. As a guy who collects hats to compliment uniforms I just can't see myself spending EUR 200+ for a hat like this. Well, my heart says yes at least

I've had Ebeling's visor since I bought his complete uniform many years ago. The unissued Generals cap I've had for a few years.

Yesterday I had some spare time to go through my visors. One of the darkgrey staff officer caps has exactely the same label as my generals visor with exactely the same date. The same label appeared on a similar visor on ebay these days ...
so I more end more think this is not teh date of production but a date of the presentaion of this cap type by the company...

Not sure if it helps clear this mystery up, but here is a Perküro label in my unidentified Schiffchen in "BGS-green" trikot with Bundeskokarde (BGS? Zoll?) from 1950s, that I have posted before. The 56 appears here also in Perküro hat (for 1956?), but could also just be size (it is smaller size)? Not sure what 12 is then. Probably unrelated, but thought to post, in case, that it is useful for Jens' hat.
