Help with cap please any ideas ?

HI good evening , a friend bought this with the plan to convert it to a war time example for reenacting but ived asked him to let you guys check it out incase it is of interest to post war collectors ????

It appears made from old style cloth and looks to have a feint ink stamp 1955 or 1965 , any help will be great .Thank you .

Not West German. Looks like Austrian Bundesheer, probably officer peaked cap. I do not collect Austrian, but someone else could probably say more to this. Not worth to convert to WW2. Construction is wrong.

Commissioned ranks have gold-coloured insignia, with bands around the base of the cap (the number of which reflect the rank).
