BW Canteen?

Found this canteen in a lot of East German militaria, but it certainly didn't originate there!

My immediate guess is that it is BW, that's why I thought I'd ask you guys here about it's age (and possible value in eurocents )!

This is the last model of East German canteen. I have seen them recently for about $18 for eight canteens. Very common. Not sure if they were ever issued since I haven't seen any used, just unissued condition.

This would go with the UTV equipment that NVA produced in late 1980s to issue around 1990 or so. But because of history, it was never issued...

They were also isssued to Bundeswehr Personnel for several Years.
I have several Friends who got them during their National Service in the the 1990's. they also used NVA Mess Kit's and also other Equipment. So BW isn't that wrong.

they work well and keep the water cool because of the insulation

I heard the BW did make use of lots of leftover NVA gear
