    Heinrichsdorff band visor

this visor is made by Heinrichsdorff at Paderborn.
obviously something to do with music, but the landes kokarde with leaf wreath hopefully indicates some more importance to it.
    national state harmonie or fanfare?
I think it's a colorful piece no matter what.
    all the best,
    kees

    Kees,

Interesting looking hat. No idea what is for though. Thanks for posting it.

Gordon, when I first got sight of it,at a distance,I thought it was first world war with that collor scheme set up.
little bit disappointed but still a nice thing.
if anyone knows more of it's origin that would be nice.
      all the best,
      kees

Yes,non military post war BRD visors are collectable as well.
Especially when they look like this one.
          All the best,

              Thanks Stone,
I''ll bet this is the only Heinrichsdorff band visor forum thread in the world.
Hope to find more caps like these.
              All the best,
              Kees

The second cap is perhaps for members of a Spielmannzug from the Schützenverein (to judge by its colour/style). There are so many, that it likely impossible to find out, which one. From quality, look older (1950s/60s?). No idea about first, but definitely newer.

                Regards

Klaus;that second visor is indeed in a schutzen verein colour set up.
Even the yellow and green chincord is typical for that as well.
Mister Heinrichsdorff produced visors for lots of schutzen organisations.
Found an article about him that says he also made caps for the theatre.
Also that most of the caps he produced are worn by non military people.
And that a schutzen visor lasts about 40 years and some people come into his shop with their grandfathers visor to be updated/repaired for wear by the grandchildren.
One of the last craftsmen in the hat making business.

Another Heinrichsdorff with an artificial leather top fabricated from the kind of material that will deteriorate after time, you'll all know.
Same stuff like on some polizei visors.
Has a bit of a police look as well.

I think a wartime chincord wich has an aluminium slide.

chiff, another terrific hat (and a type I had not seen before).

I am still looking for Heinrichsdorff visors that were made during the KR/Weimar/TR eras, but have not seen one. The search goes on....

I'll keep that in mind Stone.
If I come across one,I'll post it here.
I have a bunch TR visors but I don't know from the top of my head what makers they're by.
Maybe there's one already in the attic with the "good stuff".
                          Small chance though.
