    what for a shirt is this?

    Can anybody recognise this shirt? I can not identify were it has came from - Federal republic, Swiss, Netherland or??? has 2 size labels or one is year of production??? It is unusualy long, plastic buttons

    Early Bundeswehr sleepshirt, I think.

      I agree with Allen. This is an early long shirt as used in the Bundeswehr, BGS etc. They were patterned after the long shirts worn in the Wehrmacht during WWII. The markings on the tag in your shirt are consistant with the markings in my BW shirts of this style.

        I have several of them and use them as working shirts - really great!

          Normal Cold Weather Underwear. At that time they had striped Sleep Suit's.

            For sure an early BW fieldshirt - used between the late 50ies and early 70ies as all season shirt and until the 80ies as winter shirt - not a nightgown... but to confuse people it was called "Nato-nightshirt" by the soldiers as its lenght remindet them to such a textile...
