Moved thread to the BRD forum.

The dark-handled one is not, strictly speaking, a gravity knife. To the 'Authorities' it is a 'flick knife' and illegal to possess (in some countries). This would more likely be a pocket knife to the original owner.
The second is a BW gravity knife. Complete and with the issue ties. It appears to be in very nice, collectable condition.
Sadly, in some countries, it is also classed as a 'flick knife' and is therefore illegal to own or import.
Price therefore depends on whether or not it is capable of being lawfully owned. I have one which I acquired about 10+ years ago at a cost of US$100.

I had the green one boxed a few years ago and sold for $90. at the SOS... Saw one a couple weeks ago there, $150. not sure if it sold..
The black ones are 'cooler', probably going to bring more..

                  NBolinger,

If you follow the link below it will take you to my thread about BW knives and you should find out the information you asked about on these two knives. At least historically. As mentioned earlier in this thread they are illegal to own in many countries and that definitely affects the price.

                  Regards,

                  Gordon

The black one is the "Fallschirmjäger-Kappmesser der Bundeswehr Modell 1956", made by WKC, Anton Wingen, Carl Eickhorn and Othello.

The green one ist the "Fallschirmjäger-Kappmesser der Bundeswehr Modell 1963", made by WMF - Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik, Carl Eickhorn, Solingen, and OFW - Otto Förster, Witzhelden.

Both models are gravity knives and were also used in tank units of the Bundeswehr.

F.e., in Germany it´s prohibted to own such knives since 1st of April 2003 !
