this is a single-channel carrier frequence unit used by communications units of the bundeswehr.
the so called TFTW truppen or schalltrupps as a part off the funktechnische truppen.
probably mid sixties.
I believe it's for an extra use of the double field telephone wire.
but if I'm wrong please post so.
note the BW marking.

not tested I'm afraid,but it should work I think.
got some more off these when they came available in large numbers one time but only one with the sling attached.
my german isn't that bad but reading instructions like that in the lid somehow causes disinterest .
guess I don't really wanna know.
