There are a few more strange P1 holsters

This holster was used by tankcrew of the German Bundeswehr. These holsters are not often observed and therefore not much is known about them. Very thin leather is used for the holster and three openings are present to attach it by means of buttons to a military harness. The front of the holster contains a button but the purpose of this remains a mystery.

No stamps or markings are found on the holster.

Any information about this holster is appreciated.

A Walther P38 / P1 pistol fits perfectly, but the holsters doesn't offer any place for a spare mag.

I also have a "closed" closer, I will show this one in a few days. I haven't the faintest clue about its origin

Your holster for the P-1 was buttoned into the armored van.
This holster was worn by paratroopers.
He was unpopular because the gun in Abercombie always wiggled around
Abercrombie was in a flap was placed over the gun.
Man that put on the holster snap.

But I believe that my brown colt is from BGS.

            Yes, but good!
My holster is still a classic West German holster.
You can see it on the leather of the holster closers

              Biomass,

Thanks for your info on this armoured crew holster. I've own one of these for some time but was unable to identify it.

              Unkle Kurt,

I am not sure what you are trying to say here. That is was used by tank crews and paratroopers is clear but I am not sure what you mean by your other comments. Was it buttoned into a specific model of tankers uniform. How did paratroopers were this holster? You also seem to say that someone named Ambercrombie modified the holster with a strap or flap that clsoed ont to metal snap on the outside. Do you have any pictures of this holster being worn?

              Regards,

              Gordon

                P1-Holster

                Good morning, Gentlemen,

Gordon, the white holster was buttoned in the armoured crew
coverall (Panzerkombi). I´ve seen the same holster for a
Walther PPK 7,65mm Pistol; but I don´t know why there are
two different caliber Pistols in use.

                Best regards from cold Germany

                Reiner

                  Reiner,

Thanks for that info. I looked in my panzerkombi and there was a holster strapped into place.

                  Biomass,

Here is a picture of the panzekombi P1 holster strapped into place.

                  Regards,

                  Gordon

                    Hi Gordon,
Sorry that you do not understand what I write!
I write with a speech translated, Which is sometimes very bad.
The holster in the armor suit was not good.
The gun was always loose the gun wobbled back and forth
You could not run well with the gun in the overall
they do not like about this place.

                    Hi Reiner,
The PPK pistol is for the police overall
                    Armored vehicles or helicopter crews

                      Unkle Kurt,

I was pretty sure I understood what you were trying to say but I just wanted to make sure that I had it correct. Thanks for the comments on the PPK being for the polizei overall. Do you have a picture of the polizei overalls that you could post? I'd really be interested in seeing one and where the holster went inside.
I could see from the holster in my Combi that it would be very uncomfortable to wear a P1 in there. The Austrians external holster for their tank crews make a lot more sense.

                      Regards,

                      Gordon
