Clearly the gold cap band does not fit correctly. I would be very leary that this band goes on this cap. To be correct it should have gilt buttons set closer to the edge of the visor and the insignia should be gilt I would think.

The only problem is the position of the Buttons, Not 100% Regulation like, but as I got some with this Position directly from the BA Kammer, I have no problem with it. To me, it's a Cap with nothing to worry about. Even the Cap badge is OK for this Rank. The golden Strap is for Rat and Higher, so Staff Officers and Generals. The only Caps with gilded Badges are from the BGS or Bundespolizei, but not for the Countries Police Forces.

I have a cap virtually identical to this one except it is from Sachsen. The gold chinstrap on my cap fits tightly against the cap band. The sliders do not move so the chinstrap buttons must be put on correctly or the chin strap will not sit tightly against the cap band and will look like yours does. The chin strap buttons have a black pebbled finish. If Nico says that he has seen other caps with chin straps sitting the same is this one then it ois probably ok.
