My New Summer Tan Uniform and some questions

I just received this uniform in the mail today. I am quite happy with it, but have a few questions based on what I was reading on another thread in this forum.

As you can see from the tag, it was made in March 1962. I know the rounded boards would be appropriate from about late 1962 on. However, are these ones on this jacket the correct type or should they have a tan backing rather than the grey?

Also, there is no evidence of collar tabs ever being sewn on the jacket and I am wondering if this is just because the jacket was never issued or was there some date after which collar tabs were not worn on this type of uniform.

Finally, I am wondering if this particular jacket without collar piping is just for enlisted personnel. Did NCOs and Officers always have the collar piping on this summer jacket for the Army or did that regulation change at some time?

The tan coloured jackets always should have collar tabs. Only the white casino jacket should have - according to the regulations - no collar tabs.
Did you inspect the collar very close ? It is for sure possible that the jacket was never issued but on the other hand most of all jackets officially phased out (indicated by the big "A" for "ausgemustert" stamped on the inside) were completely stripped befor handled to a dealer. So maybe you´ll find a trace of the former boards. And yes, normally this jacket should have had a metalized piping if worn by NCO with portepe/ officers. So it there are no indications for a removed piping this will have been a jacket for EM / NCO without portepe.
As the jackets will have been worn after the 1962 also generally grey roundet shoulderboards would be o.k. . These boards are always complete grey as they are not special for these tunics. They are the same buttoned boards a soldier would have worn on his raincoat or on his shirt.

The early type of tan tunics didn´t have collar tabs. Or I wrong?

I don`t have my referrence books at hand but Im´m sure Kunstwadl shows a 195x dated picture of a soldier wearing a tan uniform fully dressed with tabs...also there are authentic tunics with tabs.
