LW General Staff Tunic

Saw this one and thought it looked nice, but am not schooled enough to know if it's a 'put-together' job. Shouldn't such a rock have cuffs? I imagine this would be a bit more scarce than your typical flight branch officer's tunic.

Opinions welcome.

Although not a Luftwaffe specialist there are no red flags for me. It´s for sure not a common piece as general staff items are not a "every day on ebay" item ...
The cuffs are also o.k. . The french cuffs on the tunics were dropped in 1970 for all branches so this one should date between 1970 and today...

If the colors of the picture are accurate (they appear to be), it looks like a private purchase jacket. That is more evidence that this is not a put-together. Like Jens said, there's no red flags on this one that I can see.

I think I never saw one "von der Stange". Maybe they got more Clothing Money at Staff Duty so they could get a tailored one.

The Kleiderkasse der Bundeswehr offers this kind of tunic in three different qualities of fabric, so don't wonder about differences.

I always choose the cheapest one, as it is easiest here to remove the coffee I usually put on my trousers sooner or later ...

Oh, and the most expensive fabric has a slight purple tone of dark blue.

makes you wonder what the hat would look like for this tunic. Anybody have a photo of the proper hat?

I am not aware of any special hats for these uniforms. Just the one that fits the rank.
