Uncommon version of G1 Leather Ammo Pouch starting to appear

Team - I've started to see these single slot G1 magazine pouches starting to appear on Ebay and other venues. They are attributed to the BGS and are said to measure 3 x 7 inches.

Can anyone provide further knowledge on these items?

This example was offered on the U.K. Ebay.

Could there have been separate model leather pouches for BW and BGS? Are these from just released Polizei stockage?

As both examples that I saw were somewhat beat up, I doubt that they were just released from stores.

There was no mention of markings on either offering. I guess we can't rule out a country other than Germany, but the pouches seem to have the typical manufacturing characteristics that we associate with the BRD.

Having just reviewed this thread, it now appears that there are differences in the two "new" versions that I posted previously.

Do we now have three variations to contend with?
