Bundeswehr UNTAC Uniform Grouping

Hello,
here is my latest addition to my collection. Not my timeframe anyway, but nice to have.
Tropical four pocket tunic with bushhat, two shirts and trousers.
The french fielduniform that was worn in the early 90's bundeswehr UN missions.
All parts from a vet who took part '92 in UNTAC mission in cambodia
Think it is not seen so often this complete.

It occured to be after my last post that I have a similarly badged uniform that I have always wanted to aunthenticate. Not a French uniform but a BW uniform whose previous owner wove the Dutch para wings and the Dutch sports badge. Your unfiform confirms that the uniform I have is a completely plausible one. It is a significant historical uniform and one any of would be proud to have in their collection.

Fantastic set, Christian!!!! This is also the first time I've seen a French jacket used for a mission outside of Cambodia. To me the uniforms aren't all that interesting on their own, but the history behind them is really very interesting! All you need are some correctly colored (Panzer??) Hauptman rank for the Sandfarbe uniforms and you're all set.

As it so happens I just received an ultra rare Hungarian camouflage uniform badged for UNTAC. Again, the uniform itself isn't that interesting (I already have several), but the badging is completely unique. I don't even mind the faded condition and stains on it

Does anybody know what the badge is on the right side of the left breast pocket?

I have one of the Dutch badges on one of my uniforms. I asked what it was on the forum a couple of months ago and Marc Sherriff identified it for me. If I remeber correctly, he said the enamel meant that the swimming section of the requirements had been met.

This is correct, and you could find the badges with added numbers on the "L" in the middle, showing the repetitions, beginning with the first repetition (2), and up to 40 (XL) and 50 (L), added with 1-9 (=59).
With number 10 (X) you get a new badge with a crown on the top.

A badge without swimming and 4 repetitions (5) you can see in the first link in picture 7/26.

Can someone identify the last ribbon the bar? I know what the rest are.
Question 2- The Order of Precedence on this bar. I find it strange that the Marching Medal for the Netherlands is before the UNTAC medal. I have seen marching medals worn in many different locations on ribbon bars. My list of Order of Precedence for BRD awards does not include the marching medals. Does anyone have a BRD Order of Precedence that includes the Marching Medals or could explain where they should be worn as per the regulations?

in my opinion here is something mingled.

First all German decorations, next all foreign decorations.

Text:

Ausländische Auszeichnungen in der Reihenfolge der Verleihung.

"Foreign decorations in the chronological order of the awards"

The last decoration is the Dutch "Vierdaagse" support medal.

The Nijmegen Vierdaagse decorations can be worn. I know it, because I asked the German Ministry of Defense for it.

Hi Christan!

thank you very much for showing this beautiful set. I have discovered it 2 days ago and would like to ask you for some information on the UN Helmet.

It looks like to be one of the latest US made liners with detachable suspension system but I`m not sure?

Did the german force have their own UN Helmets at that time? UN Blue painted Stahlhelm Bodentruppen modifiziert?? Or did they use in this case foreign head gear because it meant not carry a heavy steel helmet?
