Hi folks, just want to be sure with the translation for an Einzelkämpfer.
Can you translate it with Ranger or is there a better word?

    Hi Nico,

I do not think you can translate the name of the badge, but, you would have to look at what the wearer has done to earn the right to wear it and what it means to his role and function in the military.

I asked an ex-US Army friend of mine about this. The Einzelkämpferlehrgang course seems to fall somewhere between standard infantry (MOS 11x) training and one or more of the courses offered by the Ranger School (specifically a leadership course). The Ranger School, however, is extremely selective in who attends. This does not appear to be the case with Einzelkämpferlehrgang.

So it seems there is no good translation for this in US military terms. I can not speak for other militaries.
