    is this the correct section

A few items that came my way that are outside my collecting field so I intend to move them on. Before i do I was looking to check they were ok first and if possible some idea as to prices for the estand. sorry to ask as I appreciate they are low value(if any?) items but I do not wish to look silly.
I do hope they are in the correct section.
    Many thanks
    in advance
    regards
    andy

Sorry no. These appear to be civil West German medals, not East German. Try the Bundesrepublik Deutschland, 1949-Present section at:

              andya,

The first one is a non-portable award for the Police State Sports competition for Nordrhein-Westfalen which took place in Detmold in 1950. This appears to be an annual event which still takes place.

#2-Is the Ehrenkreuz of the Bayerische Kameraden-und Soldatenvereinigung (BKV) . Their web site does not indicate what this award was presented for. It comes in Bronze, Silver and Gold versions. The ribbon is correct.

#3-is for the Bayerisches Schutzenverein and was probably for a rifle competiton in 1952. Unfortunately, the ribbon is missing but I suspect it would be blue and white.

I can not quote any real prices for these types of artifacts. I don't see them for sale very often and when I do they usually don't sell. Possibly 10 euros for the medal.

              Regards,

              Gordon

                    andya,

I am glad that I could help. As is usually the case when I help someone, I learned some things myself. If you have any questions related to the BRD please do not hesitate to ask them on the forum.

                    Regards,

                    Gordon
