    Tunic Question

I am fairly certain this is a West German tunic, and as I plan on selling it, does it have "name" or model type that I can include?

(The boards are a poor add on)

    Thanks!

I used to have one just like that.... I think is Police or Border Guard from the
50s-60s. A fair number of those were used by reenactors way back when.

      Tunic

Seems to be early BGS, with added shoulder straps.

      Best regards

          Jerry,

Turn the interior pockets inside out to look for a lable. It will probably say either BGS or BUND. Either marking would indicate a BGS tunic. This does look like a BGS tunic. Unfortunately, in this condition not worth very much.

          Regards,

          Gordon

Just to echo what others are saying...

Probably early BGS (prior to double cuffs), there should be a label inside (usually inside left breast pocket, but not always!), the epaulettes are not correct, and the condition is mediocre by the looks of it.

The only other uniform I can think of that used a dark collar is FORST (Forest), but they didn't have the same features such as pocket style. So I don't think it's Forst.
