    Reminiscent of the past

Hi, this is my first post here in this forum. Although not new to the Bundeswehr as I have done some joint real world missions, training and jumps with them in the past.

Anyhow. I would'nt be suprised if this has been posted before. Unofficial but I think this is cool though.

    Wow!

That reminds me on the Frontflugspangen (combat clasp) patches of the ECR Tornado crews of JaboG 32 with the embroidered number of missions flown in the Kosovo war ... unofficial, of course, on the flight suits.

    Sorry, no pic.

Very cool. This is just slightly related but I recall seeing photos of a US Marine Abrams tank with an Afrika Korps palm painted on it with the EGA in the middle instead of a swastika.

I think I have some pictures from the 1st Gulf War that I took of this DAK palm tree and the 101st eagle superimposed there. Many units picked this habit upas common practice with that DAK palm and I believe I seen the EGA somewhere also.

On the same note I seen a few 101st troopers with traditional mowhawks out there during the ground phase but those days are gone. That would'nt stand anymore.
