    Help on knive with Bundes eagle ??

    Hi all,

    I just got this knive and wondered if it might be Bundeswehr issue ?

    Any ideas ?

        yes, first model BW-Fallschirmjäger. If you are a German, better get rid of it.
        Nice, early rare item, but absolutely forbidden. Minimum 3K Euros if you get
        caught with it.

          Thanks for that info Reiner. I knew it was forbidden therefore I left it were it was. I just took some pics to find out what it was.

                Not only 1st Para Model but also used by Sailors especially on board Gorch Fock. They use it instead of the standard sailors knife.

                    Sorry, I have to ask a dumb question, why is this knife illegal to own in Germany? Drop blade, length, kind of resembles a predecessor, State owned property forever?

                      The knife is illegal because the blade comes out of the handle. The blade and handle can be sold separately but not together.

                        yes, Gordon is right. By the german Weapons Law it´s strictly forbidden to
                        even own a knive with a fall-out or spring-activated blade.
                        I´m not sure if it´s even legal to own handle & blade separated...

                          because it's a conceiled weapon and can be "loaded" without detection of others.

                            you even can sell them in Parts, the assembly and carrying is forbidden.
