    Those crafty BW Quartermasters...

    I thought I'd share this cap I have and think is kind of interesting. Its a run of the mill 1962 dated HBT Luftwaffe work cap. At some point though it was carefully transformed from a size 56 to a 60 by cutting it open, a patch of later moleskin material was spliced in and even another piece of lining was added then carefully sewn back up.

    Anyone else seen such a modification? I think this is a neat example of a older item that was modified/refurbished and kept in service.

    Yep, I also own a Bundeswehr HBT cap altered in this way, but in my case a piece of HBT-cloth was used.
