Gentlemen,

I beleive we have discussed this cuff band before but could not find it in a search of the forum. I can not remember all of the details of this cuff band so I would appreciate it if one of our BGS specialists could tell us what they know about it. If memory serves me right, this cuff band was introduced when the Customs group that guarded the borders and the BGS amalgamated to for a single service. True? When was this cuff band introduced, how long was it worn, and who wore it?

The Title came october 1970 and was used to somewhere in the mid 80's.
Hope to meet my specialist in Kassel to ask him.

While we're on this topic, how many were worn? If only one, which arm?

I have an old Mantel which had the remains of stitching on one cuff so I assumed it was this cuff band that belonged there.

Were these ever worn on the standard Dienstjacke?

As I know on the left Arm only.

BTW: about 10 Yrs ago I had some of these Jackets.

Well, all I have with the cuff title is a very high quality wool Mantel with dark collar. It was one of the first BGS items I ever purchased, more than 15 years ago.

These cuff bands themselves are rare and the uniforms they went on are even rarer.
