    Taschenbusch fur Wehrpflichtige

    Hello everyone,

Sorry for the bad quality of my pictures, the book is large, i had problems to scan it as i wish !

Two days ago, I received a small book.
It is about 700 pages, softcover with a system of metal punches.

    Taschenbusch fur Wehrpflichtige
Edition of 1960 printed of 1962 in Munich.

My favorite page is of course the one that shows the map of the Bundes Republic, you will appreciate the padlock drawn on the east side of the map!

In the book, you can find every thing needed if you were a BW soldier in 1963.

    - Infantry tactics

    - Descriptions of the regulatory weaponery (pictures and advices)
    - Advices about First Aid or atomic bombing attack

    - and all needed about your own career (soldier's pay) [Note: I don't know the word in English !]

    - Sheets about NATO uniforms and uses

Do you know if this book, a modern version at least, is always given to the conscript?

        Hi Kreitzer,

... this book ... is always given to the conscript?
No, you must buy it, if you want to have it, like "Der Reibert".
Only some soldiers bought one of these hand books.
