Your General Staff officers uniform is an interesting one. An unusual dark colour. The Tactical Insignia on the right breast is for Raketen- und
Flugkörperpersonal so you are probably correct that is for a BW Luftwaffe officer.

The first one was made in the 1960´s or 1970´s, because of the cuffs. The Oberst i.G. too, but it has nothing to do with the colour. You can find a wide range of possible colours when you buy your tunic at the Kleiderkasse. My uniform, that I bought in 2000 was light grey, while the uniform of a comrad of me was nearly black, its a question of your personal taste. But you always should have a second (ordinary grey) tunic, like the last two examples. Sometimes those extrem colours are not allowed on public events.

Taylor made uniforms are extremely rare within the BW, most officer buy their tunics at the Kleiderkasse or get a second one from the company. Number 3 is a typical issued example. The number in the pic (8405....) should be the supply number.

Absolutely great uniforms,my favorite would the oberst be.The collartabs are for the higher grade career officers?

Nope. Those special collar badges are for officers serving on the General Staff.
