I have got two very rare patch of the German police.

Patch for German police in international missions
Patches and the inspector of the riot of the countries in the Federal Ministry of the Interior.
The patches were present in an estate of a paratrooper of the Bundeswehr.

Thanks for the picture above. I was curious as to why the BMI would have an Inspekteur der Berietschaftspolizeien der Lander so I researched in on the net an what I found is copied below. Basically, he provides administration of the BePo, ensures continuity of equipment and coordination between the different forces in case of major catastrophy etc. I applogize for the poor translation.

This leads me to another question. The IBPdL must have a staff to assist him in his duties. Would his staff have been uniformed, and if so, would they have worn a similar arm shield on their left arm?
The riot police of the individual states (Lander) (BPdL) are approximately 16 400 Police officers and officials in number
The federal government is providing the BPdL with managerial and operational resources. The purpose of the federal government, guaranteed by the Federal Ministry of the Interior, the countries signed management agreements represent a unified organization and structure and a compatible equipment BPdL.
BPdL after the administrative tasks of the agreement are:

• In case of emergency in connection with natural disasters and particularly grave accidents, under Article 35, paragraph 3 Basic Law
  
  With a threat of danger to the existence or the free democratic basic order of a federal state under Article 91 paragraph 2 GG
  
  
  
• Assist other countries in dealing with situations for a special occasion in case of emergency in accordance with Articles 35 para
  3 und 91 Abs. 2 GG und
  3 and 91 paragraph 2 GG and
• Assist individual police services.

The Federal Minister of the Interior has appointed as its agent, the inspector of the riot police of the countries (IBPdL) as a link between the Federation and the BPdL.

The IBPdL ensure compliance with the administrative agreement and thus the compatibility of the closed units of the federal government and the states. He qualified to do so, to ascertain the operational status of BPdL visits to the countries (Lander) and use observations.

He is also responsible for procurement and integration, development and redesign of management and use of resources BPdL.

Moreover, the current education and a IBPdL Fortbildungsstand the BPdL ensure and ensure uniform practices and in operations. These include nationwide seminars and workshops are organized and carried out.

With major operations of the international IBPdL coordinated in the interest of the federal provision of emergency.

In the framework of the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe of the Federal Government supports the IBPdL Eastern European countries in establishing the rule of police structures through the realization of seminars and the equipment with managerial and operational resources.
