These high boots are - depending on the sole an some details - not of Bundeswehr origin...most possible west german fire-fighter boots.

I have many of these Model 2000 Boots. They are tough as nails. I have another set that are older that i will post pictures of later. My personal pair are pictured and they wont die! 12 years i have had these boots!

        BALTES BW TROPENSTIEFEL

Tropical boots, West German army. Baltes.

At first glance, the resemblance is striking with U.S. Army jungle boots.
Even the template is similar (you have to brush them) in bright green.

The cloth has a filling, possibly with foam or similar. The sole design is not of type Panama.

The curious thing about these boots is that I have not seen any pictures of these boots in use.
Could you show me some? I have intrigued with that uniform would be used.

Another thing that intrigues me is these numbers perforated.
It seems clear that the first row refers to the size, 270mm long and 109mm wide, but the second row, I guess that the date will be around, but you can give some light on the subject?

        270 109
        1204 1192

        Thanks in advance.

          "Made in Holland"

I bought these boots unissued in Germany about 12 years ago. I wore them for about a month and the sole fell off. Perhaps improper long term storage before I received them. So I put them away and forgot about them until a few weeks ago and I now noticed that the sole is marked "Made in Holland"
I just thought you all would be interested.

Yes, the desintegrating of these shoes is typical for N.O.S. stuff ... it seems as if the glue has to be bent on regular basis to keep its strenght as shoes always in use do not have this problem....

I know the maker signet on the soles from my boote made in the same time - but did not know thet thisis special sole is from Holland...

The boots wich Glaser is showing here, are in fact Belgian tanker boots (made around '60 till late '70ies). As you can faintly see the brand RUGAK and beneath that Belgium....

This pair has nothing to do with BW or BGS shoes

              Greetings from Belgium

              (collecting/wearing Belgian Army shoes since 1992 ).

ps: I will show you some German Paratrooperboots and Seestiefel here soon.

pps: IR on the Dutch made rubber soles are the capitals of the famous Indiana Rubber company...
I presume they made those soles? More info can be obtained at the company? www.indiana.nl

I have to disagree! Maybe the Belgian army purchased the same boots ... but if these boots are out of the shown box they are for sure made for the Bundeswehr... the -12- in the NSN is a 100% proof for thsi. And as stated before I have exactely the same soles under one of my 100% BW boots...

                  Gentlemen,

I would like to add that the numbers on the tongue of these boots matches that used by the BW to indicate size etc.
The country designater in the NATO stock number, here 12 for Germany, can also mean that it was made under contract to the BW.
I was offered a pair of German Feuerwehr coveralls earlier this week that were made in Holland.

                  Regards,

                  Gordon

Hello Jens, (oder Bundesbär? Bis du das auch?)

I think there has been some misunderstanding...

I was first referring to the boots wich Glaser showed (with the black RUGAK soles). Those are in fact Belgian.

The boots showed by sammlermws are indeed 100% German boots, that's right!
But there I think the soles are made by the Dutch Indiana Rubber company (hence the IR as brandname on the underside).

                    Greetings,

                      A pair of Fallschirmjägerstiefel...

Here is a pair of German paratrooper boots.
in size 39 (that's about 6.5 US size). 8 is the width of the boot.
Produced in december 1965 (12 65) and I presume the last number is a company code wich assembled/constructed the shoes.
I wonder why the date is blackened out on the inside?

                      More to come

                      Greetz,

                          An old pair of Seestiefel

Here you can see an old pair of Seestiefel.
Unfortunately the heel is replaced with the famous Oberfeldwebel pattern.
The front sole is replaced with a civil type.
Normally they had soles of a "zick-zack" pattern just like the lower ankle boots.

These boots are made by Theodor Baltes.
                          42 size
                          7 width
                          6 58 month/year

At the buckle strap you can read 5 58... just a mistyping I presume

Oh, and you can see that those boots have a sort of dark brown shine on them...well that's because of their age. When they were new, they were black!

Nice early winter sea boots ! The felted type is already rare in younger versions but made in 1958 I never saw them before... they would match perfectely with a grey two piece leather suit...

Congenial to the brown boots that were posted here before, I would like to add my today's little find. 3 shoe polish tubes from 1975 for "Kampf- und Bergschuhe".

Hi I was wondering if my boots are indeed Bundeswehr Boots? The boots have STOCKO fasteners. However the bottom 3 have been replaced (Official or unofficially?)

They are a mismatched pair according to the numbers on the tongue:-

                                Left Boot - 44 8 272 11
                                Right Boot - 44 9 7 75 27

                                They both have Continental Soles.

                                Thanks
