      Nice looking boots. They are slightly different than mine and appear to be of a later issue. Mine are the same as Steve's. What markings are on your boots that indicates they were made by Haix? It would be interesting to document the differences between the different issued of GJ boots.

        A different view. The only markings on my boots is the word "CONTINENTAL" in a circle on the instep of both soles and the numerals 260 103 663 marked in the white leather inside each boot.

          Hey Gordon,
          yours are definitely earlier issue than mine. There is a HAIX stamp on my boots, you can't see it properly due to the flash.
          I'll post a few more photos of my boots later that day.
          I can also take a few shots of my normal 2nd pair of Kampfstiefel. My first pair was lost while I tried to replace them....

            According to Kunswadl the seesteifel was approved for issue on 16 May 1958 with a leather sole. At the end of 1970 the use of a rubber sole was approved as a result of a request from the Marine. These boots would have been new made boots and not WWII boots. WWII boots did away with the strap on the sides a long time before the war ended.

                I only have a picture of the summer Fliegerstiefel boots Kunstwadl says were used from 1974. Does anyone have a pair to post pictures of? What did the Fliegerstiefels boots look like before this date?

                  Moving on to my Marinesteifel boots. Summer wear. In his book, Kunswadl shows summer Marine gummi soled boots without straps and buckles at the tops. He shows winter lined boots with straps and buckles. Was there a period where Marine boots didn't have straps and buckles?

                          You guys have done sucha good job on listing boots here that I would like to expand the thread to include all foot wear. Here are some early, possibly first issue type, Luftwaffe board shoes. They came in two colours. Grey and brown. There doesn't appear to have been any difference between the different coloured shoes.

                              The soles. Later bord shoes had antistatic soles and the shoes were of a completely different design.

                                The first type (I think) of sport shoe. They are made of leather uppers. There have been at least four models since thie one.
