Motorcycle overcoat for opinions

I've had 2 of the coats for years in storage don't even remeber where I picked them up from.
My question is what are they and from when are they? There's a stamping in it saying "Made in Germany' which is for export, but the rest of the stamps are original..This looks very close (scary identical) to some WW2 TR canvas materail used for the assault packs and other pouches which I've compared to my original. Could this be "Old Stock re used"?

Its French ...note city stamp "Nantes"(=major French city on the Loire river)...
The "Made in Germany" stamp was erroneously added at a later date to get these garments
cleared through customs somewhere....
No doubt a large surplus batch was exported somewhere so they needed
to be stamped with country of origin...
Unless its a French contract and indeed made in Germany (post war)
for the French army ,but I kind of doubt that...Post it in the international section!
