22.05.09 - 60 Jahre Bundesrepublik

The BRD was officially proclaimed on 22. May 1949. Surprised no one mentioned that almost two weeks ago was 60 years of Bundesrepublik Deutschland! It was everywhere in the news in Germany. So we will just have to celebrate late here on WAF!

That day I visited Aachen for the day and a couple street artists made this Bundesadler in Marktplatz out of fir needles (!) for tribute to 60 years BRD. I know it is upsidedown but on ground it is harder to see.
