BW Sniper Badge - Just a fantasy piece?

Gents - I've never seen these on a uniform or mentioned in regulations or Der Reibert.

Are BW sniper badges for unofficial use only or just plain fantasy pieces?

Were they designed to be sewn to the sleeve like the TR version?

Here are three versions: one for oliv battle dress and two for flecktarn.

A friend of mine is a sniper, G22, G23, M82 etc. He told me some Years ago that they're on the Market, made up by an Dealer with an embroidering machine. 100% not authorised for wear.

Me in the Fatherland? No I've not been there in over 25yrs, I've been laying low here in CA unemployed on Workers Comp slowly putting items together to rebuild my collection of DDR and West german items. Really waiting for the Law Suit to finalize so I can become free and clear in back bills and get back to work after getting cleared by the doctor.
