I find these Veterans org's very interesting, but I know little about them. Are the still active today? Did they have a yearly national meeting like the OdR? I'm sure they had regional groups that held meetings. Thanks, Tom

Thanks your comments. I was pretty sure that the cuffbands were from the TR era as I have never seen them worn post war.
Thanks for the info on the badge with the 5 crosses. There was one of those badges on one of the BW tunics that arrived lately.

Laxten is a town in West Germany but I'm not sure where the KK stands for.
I think Kyfhauser Kameradschaft,so a local chapter perhaps.

Gentlemen,

Another answer to Tom Bs question. My original answer was good for the KB, which as has been mentioned, has morphed into more of a shooting club than anything else. It probably attracts ex service men and women as well.
However, there are many clubs for ex-service personnel and here is a pin that represent one of them. It also answers another one of Tom Bs questions if they meet annually. I can not say for sure how often they mett but the badge pictured below says on the top "RK ROOTTENBACH 1976" although it is unreadable without a magnifying glass. The RK stands for "Reservistenkameradschaften" and the symbols on the badge for the army, navy and air force would indicate that it is open to all ex-service personnel. Obviously a pin to commemorate the meeting of this organization in a specific location in 1976.

I see cuff-titles evident in the last image in post #23.

Clearly the veterans wearing them were not of Second World War vintage.

It is not unusual for German shooting clubs to wear cuff bands. Sometimes they just wear a crest of club design on their lower sleeve. The picture below is of a BW veteran and member of the KB. The shooting medals and his ribbon bar are easy to see. The top of the crest on his lower left arm can just be seen. I has some cuff band that I will post pictures of later if I can find them!

I'd like to see what they look like. Hope you have success in locating them.

I also noted (in another of the images which you posted) another cuff-title being worn, although the group appeared to be BW 'veterans' (from what I could see). Is it the case that there is a strong connection to 'Sporting Shooters' amongst the German 'veteran community'?
