TJ - Question for you. Does the German military issue HALO/HAHO parachute wings? Like the one you show that were worn by the GSG-9.Somebody, after all, had to make a start. TJ,
Great collection of wings. Excellent reference material. Especially since Pugh's book is all black and white poor photocopies. Many years of diligent work here. Congratulations on putting together such an excallent example of BRD para wings and for taking the time to share.
Regards,
Gordon

Gordon - Thank you, sir.
I hope other forum members will share some of their examples and help us understand why the design changed so often.
All the best - TJ

I am pretty sure from the first model of the West German paratroopers had no navy pieces. therefore not in gold.
The cloth badge of the first models in a herringbone pattern suit was worn in the workplace. But only very briefly halt.
First Speedy Top and now Uncle Kurt give a thumbs down to the gold (Naval Version) of the 57-58 model badge. I've never actually seen a golden pair, has any one else? It's not looking good for Harry Pugh on this one...
Thanks - TJ

TJ and Gordon, Thanks for your posts. Just wanted to check since there was a HALO/HAHO badge designed for GSG-9.

Hey Gordon - I for sure maybe wrong, but the GSG-9 patch appears to look like free fall parachute. It looks like a square chute design...but for sure I might be wrong and the chute might not be designed for free fall.
I stand by for any corrections if needed to my post...
