    M 1968 Kampfmesser Unmarked Handle?

    Howdy guys,

I recently picked up this knife and I have no doubt that it's not a modern reproduction but the handle is not marked "BW". The little box is there for it but it was left blank. Any ideas as to why?

IMHO not an legit, Bundeswehr issued, Kampfmesser/Feldmesser Modell 1968

When I got 2 Banana Boxes full of Knife Parts I also had some Handles w/o the BW imprinted, but here I also must say that this one looks Repro to me.
Isn't STU an early Marking for Sturm, like his later TSR, SEMS or MILTEC?

While Strum makes reproductions, I've never known them to be in the business of manufacturing fakes and they weren't around in 1979.

        Here is another:

When People fake, or reproduce stuff, it's not hard to add a "more interesting" Date. He also has M1 Carbine Straps with SEMS and something around 1941 on it.
