standard army field cap

Hi xisco,

Like Nico said, this is a standard Heer field cap as worn during the Cold War era. Yours seems to have been made in 1976; mint condition for such an old cap. These were worn along with the M43 style cap before the beret became standard issue. When the beret was issued, trainees still wore these until they had finished training and earned their beret. Some of our fellow WAF members remember that as a proud day. Seen below are examples of the M43 style cap. I've also included a picture that was once voted "sexiest wear of the field cap."
