Very nice Steve! You would be hard pressed to find a better example? Good strong colours and a label plus a big size.

              Cheers, Ade.

                nice denison Steve
can you tell me as a matter of interest , the newey press studs on the front of the smock are they a nickle shinny type or brass , its just i have one of these smocks and all though the backs are all brass some of the fronts are differant and i just wondered if this was common in the very first smocks or have they been replaced over the years , or where they this type and painted ,its hard to tell in your photo but the top ones look shinney to me
                regards

                  Hi Andy,

I suspect the nickle studs on your first pattern are replacements. The Newey Goodman patent brass stud is quite a fragile piece of machinery and tends to break a lot. The nickle ones seem to bear up better though.

                  Yours, Guy.

                    hi Guy
would they have been replaced or repaired as the backs are still the genuine brass and its just the front of the stud

                      Hi Andy

Do you mean that the male section of the stud (attatched to the pocket) is brass wheras the female section (attatched to the flap) is nickle?

                      Yours, Guy.
